Arts Venue
The Met is the recently refurbished cultural and conference centre situated in Abertillery. The Metropole Theatre, Dance Hall and Market Hall, as it was known in its former days, was constructed in 1892, by Charles John Seaborne. The building has been refurbished into a state of the art centre, retaining many of the original Victorian architectural features. Conference facilities include meeting and conference rooms. The 216 seater main auditorium is multi–functional and can be used for meeting and workshop space.
